Atadas Launches Latest Secure Messaging Feature

July 28, 2023

Nashville, Tenn., – July 28, 2023 – Atadas, a leader in patient engagement, telehealth technology for substance use disorder treatments, announces its latest AddMedPro® feature helping to improve patient-provider communications with directed, secure messaging. As part of the company’s patented compliance and patient engagement platform, the new directed messaging feature allows SUD patients to send and receive secure messages through their patient mobile app. Provider staff are notified when messages arrive in the cloud app, so no communications are missed.  Directed secure messaging complements existing SMS text features along with other patient engagement feature sets in AddMedPro®, including take medication reminders, medication adherence, and automated pill counts for diversion control.

Patients in treatment with medication for opioid use disorder (M OUD) must balance their appointments, their pick-up of medications, and other aspects of their treatment plan as part of their recovery. These new direct messaging features increase the convenience for patients to communicate with their providers with immediate response for when they’re at the pharmacy or when they need to change appointments or for other questions, they may have regarding treatment; all of which can be handled with secure texting.  The end result is enhanced patient and provider communications, which helps patients stay in treatment and realize better outcomes.

“Within our pilots, the use of secure patient messaging along with our other patient engagement features resulted in increases of 39% for retention rates of patients who begin medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder,” stated Bill Farr, CEO of Atadas, Inc. “Our focus remains on providing tools to providers and patients to optimize OUD patient outcomes that limit risk of relapse.” Farr added.
